Most people only know Northwest Arkansas as the "home office." Walmart did start here, but so did Tyson Foods, J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Simmons Foods, Allens Inc., PAM Transport and America's CAR-MART. They grew into industry-leading operations here. The confluence of talent, research and expertise is providing the ingredients for NWA 2.0. New, innovative companies are rising to support the critical mass of retail, food and logistics companies in the region, and local leaders are determined to provide an environment to help new companies start, grow and thrive. One of the best environments to transition a great idea with small beginnings into a full-fledged company is the ARK Challenge, a 14-week entrepreneurial boot camp where Northwest Arkansas mentors provide guidance to people from around the world with great ideas. Membership Account Representative

The Centerton Area Chamber of Commerce has immediate openings for Membership Account Representatives.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Account Representative is responsible for selling and retaining members by conducting outside sales both through ''cold'' calls and by appointment. He/she is expected to generate leads on a consistent basis, with minimal direction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Meet minimum monthly performance standards for new membership sales.
  • Promote existing member retention through continuous communication with members regarding our products and services.
  • Understand all CACC programs, volunteer opportunities, and member benefits.

Attend the following functions:

  • Morning Mill Arounds
  • CACC After Hours events
  • Leads Groups
  • Ribbon Cuttings
  • Business-building Expos
  • Sales Meetings
  • Board Meetings, as requested
  • Other functions or meetings as assigned

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Some College Preferred
  • Sales Training Desirable
  • Proven sales track record
  • Proven ability to meet established quotas on a monthly basis
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Basic word processing, data entry, and internet skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Ability to self manage
  • Team player

COMPENSATION: 

This is a full-time, commission-based position. 
Previous experience selling ''intangibles'' is helpful. Previous experience with a chamber of commerce is highly desirable.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The Chamber is open primarily from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Early morning (7:00am) and some evening hours (approximately to 8:00pm) will be required at various times each month. A reliable car is required to meet with potential members throughout the area and to travel to various Chamber functions.
